Solar Plexus

Writer's picture: intothemysticelwintothemysticelw

The solar plexus is the third of the seven chakras, it is located at the navel and is representative of the fire element. The Solar Plexus is represented by the color yellow. The organs and glands associated with the solar plexus include the pancreas, liver, gallbladder, stomach, spleen, kidneys and the small intestines.  It embodies the upper abdomen.

Fire is one of transformation. Just as the Phenix burns to ashes and is reborn.  It is here we find our power and strength. When we are in balance we stand strong and know our place in the world. We stand from a place of confidence and trust. We are able to see task through with great determination.

A blocked solar plexus may leave one feeling powerless, stagnant, in victim mode with a low self esteem. We may start to become resentful of those around us. We may develop unhealthy habits to deal with our emotions, in turn feeling powerless over our choices.

Imposter syndrome

Feelings of not fitting in

You will never amount to anything

I’m stupid

I hate myself

These thoughts stem from our subconscious programming that begins at a young age from our life experiences. We must get to the root of the issue to truly understand, hence healing the root chakra.

Picture the root chakra as a storage drive. It holds all of the experiences we have. We do not consciously remeber every detail and likely have no idea why we think and feel the way we do. It is through going inward that we can reflect.
